Washington, D.C., the vibrant capital of the United States, transforms into a dazzling tapestry of global unity and LGBTQ+ pride during WorldPride 2025. From May 17 to June 8, this historic two-week festival coincides with the 50th anniversary of Pride in DC and features over 50 events across nine neighborhoods, promising an unforgettable experience.

Under the theme "Fabric of Freedom", this year's WorldPride is more than a celebration—it's a movement for global equality and a tribute to the world’s most inclusive and resilient queer communities.

Witness the Spectacle of Pride on Iconic Streets

  • WorldPride Parade – June 7–8: The grand finale: a global celebration of love, visibility, and solidarity. March down Constitution Avenue past iconic landmarks, joined by LGBTQ+ communities, allies, and changemakers from every corner of the globe. WorldPride Festival & Concerts – June 7–8Held on Pennsylvania Avenue NW, between 3rd and 9th Streets, this massive street festival will feature multiple stages, community booths, and performances from international headliners.
  • Welcome Concert – May 31: Kicking things off at Nationals Park is a major Welcome Concert, featuring none other than Shakira, in a dazzling show of unity and celebration.

  • Trans Pride – May 17: WorldPride begins with Trans Pride at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, celebrating trans visibility and community strength.
  • DC Black Pride – May 23–26: Held at the Capital Hilton, this flagship event honors the contributions and culture of Black LGBTQ+ communities.
  • Capital Pride Honors – June 5: Recognize trailblazers and community leaders at the National Building Museum.
  • Human Rights Conference – June 4–6: Take part in global conversations on progress, inclusion, and advocacy at JW Marriott & National Theatre.
  • Embassy Row Pride – Various Dates: Embassies along Massachusetts Avenue open their doors for special LGBTQ+ events celebrating cultural exchange and global queer solidarity.
  • Capital Cup Sports Festival – May 28 – June 4: Cheer on inclusive teams at tournaments in Belém, including volleyball, swimming, futsal, and rugby.
  • Global Dance Party – June 6–7: A high-energy two-night rave at RFK Festival Grounds where music meets movement under the stars.
  • International March on Washington – June 7–8: Join activists and allies from around the world in a landmark march for global LGBTQ+ rights. (Location TBD)
  • Closing Ceremony – June 8: The festivities wrap with a huge closing concert on Pennsylvania Avenue, sending off WorldPride with joy, gratitude, and purpose.
