Coming from the Caribbean, where Pride celebrations don’t exist, being able to celebrate in a region so close to home felt incredibly special. Curaçao Pride is the first and only Pride event in the Caribbean, and it truly embodies the spirit of community.
This wasn’t a flashy, corporate-sponsored event—it was a grassroots celebration in the purest form. There was no traditional parade; instead, we marched together, side by side, with volunteers stepping up to ride the Pride bike, hold flags, and contribute however they could. We rolled up our sleeves, pitched in, and created something beautiful together.
Some highlights included Gaze Bar (the only LGBTQ+ bar on the island), the Pride March, the Ball, and Freskura. Every person we met was welcoming, warm, and full of love. Beyond Pride, the island itself is stunning, with breathtaking beaches, amazing food, and rich culture. We felt right at home.

The parade was a beautiful celebration of diversity, with stunning costumes, lively music, and a fantastic crowd coming together to create an atmosphere of pure joy. The island’s welcoming nature made it easy to connect with others, and the blend of stunning views, local culture, and international pride was something truly special. Whether you’re here for the parties, the community events, or the powerful messages of love and acceptance, Curaçao Pride offers something for everyone. It’s an event I can’t recommend enough – I’ll definitely be back next year!

The most important part for sure are the attention to detail they put in every single event. Don’t get me started about the party’s, they’re super fun and you get to meet a lot of people as well. Overall, you should definitely consider putting the Curaçao Pride on your bucket list. XoXo ✨🏳️🌈
